A concert celebrating the fusion of Egyptian and Western classical music

Expect a captivating evening of music that transcends cultural boundaries and celebrates the richness of Egyptian and Western classical traditions. Viola player Christina Ebersohl and pianist Melissa Terrall present “Viola al-Mashura (The Enchanted Viola),” a groundbreaking program of iconic works from the Egyptian classical tradition and Western compositions that combine the beauty of diversity and the power of music.

The concert will also feature world premieres by renowned composers Sherif Mohie Eldin and Marek Woods-Harris, whose works meld cultural roots and modern expressions into a powerful fusion. Inspired by the belief that music has the power to connect and heal, this project represents a vibrant dialogue between the worlds, promoting understanding and harmony through the universal language of art.
